The opening ceremony of corner IRFE and the presentation of IRFE spring/summer collection took place on 16 of March at the department store TSUM in Moscow. In addition to sales in 85 stores in 23 countries, the collections IRFE are now represented in one of the best department stores in Europe – TSUM of Moscow, as well as in Barvikha Luxury Village.
On this occasion the corner IRFE, located on the third floor, has turned into a real garden: the scents of violets and white lily-flowers were so exhilarating as the champagne, for the purchase of which the organizers have not stinted.
Guests, including many celebrities (Ksenia Solovieva, Miroslava Duma, Larissa Verbitskaya, Karina Dobrotvorskaya ...), curiously studied the historical documents, photographs, books and magazines, of the 1920s, telling the story of the fashion house IRFE, which collections are now available in the best department store of the capital.
Founded in Paris in 1924 by Prince Felix Youssoupoff and his wife Irina, the niece of the last Russian Tsar Nicolas II, IRFE rapidly conquered chic European and American customers who were dazzled by its aristocratic founders. The name of the fashion house was composed of the first syllables of their names, Irina and Felix. Prince Youssoupoff had always loved to sketch fashion designs and possessed a true sense of elegance. The house of IRFE, like the couple that founded it, was elite and refined.
The small business expanded and prospered. The House of IRFE took over a studio worthy of its growing reputation at 19, Rue Duphot in Paris and then opened three new branches in Le Touquet, London and Berlin. Their success was also attributable to the models who were princesses and countesses fluent in several languages. They embodied the style and sophistication of the clothes they were modelling. The range of IRFE perfumes, produced in limited editions, was conceived to give three categories of women - blondes, brunettes and redheads - their own fragrance.
The major fashionistas of Moscow took part at the ceremony trying on hippy looks with fringe, safari jackets, leather skirts, leggings and accessories. Time has flown by. Many guests left the corner with their purchases and violets, favourite flowers of the founder of IRFE.
