Spring/Summer 2011

The words that best describe the Spring-Summer 2011 Collection by Irfé are "materials" and "colors." Taking inspiration from two key themes to create the new collection, Olga Sorokina developed a style that is at once modern and elegant. The first theme contributes a fluid, supple and natural look while the second strikes a sophisticated, urban tone. Here and there, luxurious fabrics and materials are used to add structure to garments and evoke the historic heritage of Maison Irfé, without interfering with the ultra-current image conveyed by the collection.

The first theme revives the 'Seventies with a hippy look complete with fringe, safari jackets and lacing. It draws on materials like python and suede, as well as a palette of beige and camel shades.  The image of the fluid muslin dresses of the 'Seventies is transposed onto the long dresses in the collection.

The second theme, rock 'n' chic, inspired a trendy couture silhouette, with lots of black and wide shoulders. Mesh tops lend the collection a rock punk aura. The leather skirts and leggings come in black, occasionally relieved by a flash of color, such as the pink tulle skirt.

The ubiquitous accessories - purses, belts and jewelry - are adorned with the historic codes emblematic of the House of Irfé, among them the two-headed Imperial eagle and the crown worn by the Prince Youssoupoff and his predecessors.

In this new collection, Olga Sorokina presents an elegant, contemporary wardrobe. Her designs are distinctive and easy to wear, and they make sense. The individual woman will enjoy discovering and admiring these outfits, not to mention wearing them to make a fashion statement reflecting her own personality.

Fall/Winter 2010/2011

Irfé fashion house presents its new Fall/Winter 2010/2011 collection; a collection with a modern and urban allure characterized by magnificent fabrics and perfect finishing.

As a continuation of the Spring/Summer 2010, the collection resembles a wardrobe and allows the modern woman to express her own style without restraints.

This season Irfé plays contrast card; combining soft and shapeless oversize lines with short volumes and dynamic cuts. The jackets with round shoulders quiet down the ultra short skirts and add femininity to the oversize trousers.Exquisite luxury, Canadian marten and zibeline frame the leather fabrics, the scoured silk with fringe, lace and woven flannels take the shape of jackets, cabans, dresses and tuxedos. A made–to-measure wardrobe in sober and neutral colors with a hint of crimson red.
The aristocratic heritage of Irfé fashion House unfolds with the brand’s codes: The crown imagined by Felix Youssoupov in 1924, blazon of Russia of tsars: the two-headed eagle clasps, buckles, blazons and prints. The modern prints on t-shirts sprinkle this winter wardrobe: Vanities, Russian dolls, Psyché, and tags of the logo embroidered and lacqued.

The IRFE accessories line was broadened and diversified following the season’s trends, and client’s demands around the world.  They beautifully put the final touch to the collection, expressing by their modernity, the IRFE woman’s style. The motorcycle boots or the ultra feminine pumps, daily handbags, shoulder bags or evening clutches; the Fall/Winter 2010/2011 Irfé collection dresses the contemporary women every hour of the day, every day of the week and all throughout the fall/winter season.

Spring/Summer 2010

For Spring Summer 2010, Olga Sorokina designed for the newly reborn house of Irfé a collection imagined like a wardrobe, where each piece attracts one’s look and defines modern femininity. Volumes and fabrics reflect a contemporary sense of style, answering to an instinctive desire of timelessness with neutral muffled colors.

Refined cotton and linen, delicate washed silk, exotic skins, reveal themselves in perfectly assembled and structured jackets, dresses, pants and shorts. The collection is about details, where modern cuts and sexy shapes are finished with signature chain zippers, and an emblematic crown or a two-headed eagle brings back the nostalgia of an aristocratic past.

Proud of the brand’s history and eager to perpetuate its codes with a modern twist, Olga Sorokina presents sheer oversized fabrics with structured anatomic cuts, bringing attention to products details that become accessories such as fringes, pads, metal jersey, zippers or aristocratic chains.

As a final touch to the Irfé modern spirit, a collection of shoes, clutches, gloves and belts brings that little eccentric twist necessary to feel unique.

Fall/Winter 2009/2010

For this first Irfe collection, the key words that best define its trend are volumes, materials and colors. Two main stories stand out of this collection: one is fluid, soft and protective, while the other is architectural, corseted and provocative.

The references to the historical heritage of the house are made in small touches in order not to interfere with the resolutely modern vision of today’s Russia. One finds an amazing chandelier as those decorating the most handsome palaces of St Petersburg in metallic chain on a jersey t-shirt in ultra-fine cotton or then printed in draped black tulle on a fitted dress in shocking pink. A two-headed eagle, symbol of the Russian Czars decorates a lovely evening pouch in white astrakhan, jewel of an ideal collection of bags in flannel, quilted leather and python. The cross of the Maltese Order, who for a long time was under the Czar’s protection, was also in the spotlight through prints that reproduced the Royal crown and in the contemporary silhouettes.

In a harmony of greys, whites and blacks, enhanced with touches of pink and purple as a souvenir of violettes, Irina’s favorite flowers, Olga Sorokina produces a modern « Rock’n Chic » silhouette that includes the Couture heritage passed on by Prince and Princess Yousoupoff.

Only noble fabrics and luxurious materials were used for this collection produced by the finest French and Italian artisans. A long sleeveless overcoat with worked sleeves, a perfecto blouson in flannel and washed lambskin, and a tweed jacket that is perfect on a pair of leather leggings heralds a precise silhouette. The mix of fabrics conveys even more volume and character to the clothing and sets forth a woman who is confident about her style and her personality. Fur is also present combined with bubble skirts and trapeze coats in knitted marmot. High waist slim pants, blouses in structured puckered sill and cashmere knit bring the finishing touches to the Irfe wardrobe.

Through this collection, Olga Sorokina showcases a timeless wardrobe, modern and elegant: the pieces are strong, easy and straight forward so that each woman can have fun and discover pieces of clothing that will seduce her while affirming her personality.

After its re-editions presented in June 2008, the Irfй collection today is definitely anchored in the present and already turned towards the future.
